Description: If you've ever clenched a little when asked for your "bio" by a producer, or when you've had an introduction by an MC you thought could have been better -  this workshop is for you.

Whether you're taking a new creative direction or adding polish to your existing brand - your words need to grow with you.

Make that show application process easier, and producers and MCs love you.

Prologues with Polish is a workshop created by Camden Champagne for performers who want their words to work harder for them.

During this hour of power with Camden and your peers, you can add shine to angles you didn't know you had.

You'll explore:

  • Creating a performer 'by-line''

  • Creating an introduction for your MC

  • What elements to include in your performer biography

  • The difference between an act introduction and act description when applying for festivals

  • Tips for show applications

Based out of Boorloo, Camden Champagne has been performing and hosting nationally since 2017. She has been working with performers and producers since 2019 to add polish to their persona, merchandise, websites, along with show, festival, and competition applications. A Filthy Showbo's Guide to Costume Care

When: 15th November 2025
Where: tbc

Time: 11:30 am - 12:30 pm
Cost: $40

Course description:

Save the filth for on stage, babe.

Learn how to keep your costumes looking fresh and fabulous, and make post-gig laundry much easier.

Our costumes and props are specialty items, often custom-made or customised and worth hundreds or thousands of dollars.

Not everything can be thrown in the washing machine.

We insure our precious items, but may not know how to give them the best care. All that is about to change.

Learn how to confront your 'doom pile' and how to care for your shoes, headpieces, wigs, fans, feathers, boas, metal, leather, silk and true vintage pieces.

Get some easy tips for spot cleaning, stain removal and what multi-use materials you can keep in your laundry for your costumes and your everyday clothes.

All attendees will receive a digital resource created by Camden.

Camden Champagne is a filthy showbo, just like you. Camden has been performing and hosting since 2017, with many-a-tale and many-a-doom pile to show for it. When she isn't basking in her local or national limelight, she has nearly 15 years of experience as a fashion reseller. She's learned how to care for beautiful things, and spoken to lots of specialists who know their stuff. This is a workshop designed to be attended once where Camden shares her knowledge of what to do and not do to make your loved pieces last longer.
